Hey everyone!

Tonight was the official launch of what ended up being a short demo of I Need a Hero!: A Super-Powered Dating Adventure as a part of ACM Studio UCLA's Spring Showcase where 7 teams presented our games that we have been working on winter and spring quarter of the school year. Although the realities of being a college student (especially in the middle of a pandemic, where we have had to do all of our work isolated) wore on our development, we are still immensely proud of the work we were able to accomplish, and we want to give a special shoutout to the other teams as well! So what's next for I Need a Hero! ? If you happened to be at the showcase tonight, you know that our development team has plans to finish this game for real over the summer. What you see on this page as of now is unfortunately a reflection of only a fraction of the work we have already put into this game, and we are excited to show you the full version once we fix the current bugs and polish up the features we either did not get a chance to implement before our deadline or that we would like to improve upon. We will be continuing to add art, animations, music and sound effects, dialogue,  combat mechanics, and more. A lot of this work has already been mapped out, however we do not yet have a window of time for when the game will be finished due to most of us developers still being full-time college students after this school year is over. 

What can you do to show your support of this game in the meantime? We would appreciate your feedback on our demo, even though we know it is buggy, has a lot of typos, and lacks features we planned such as music, unique combat moves, player name insertion into the dialogue, and more. If you're interested in learning more about our game in the meantime, stay tuned because we might be uploading some of our original concepts so you can get to know the characters better! 

But for now, thank you to everyone who came out to support us at the showcase, and especially thank you to our wonderful team for grinding day and night the past week to get even a short demo of the game ready to present to our peers.
